Riser pads have been designed to help increase the height of your board in order to avoid wheel bite. They are made from a hard plastic, this ensures that the pad will never compress or lose height, and depending on your skate style, can preserve your deck by reducing the risk for stress cracks where the deck and trucks meet. Most riser pads wont affect the speed you skate unless very tall, and result in a much higher centre of gravity. Although having riser pads can help to keep your bolts from loosening, you don’t really need to purchase them if your wheels are 55mm or below. N.B:If purchasing these riser pads, you will want to get a set of1 1/2″bolts to set up with. Pig Riser padsare a quality hard 1/2″ skateboard riser pads.
